•
Quantum mechanics is perhaps the greatest scientific breakthrough ever achieved. It brought with it a seismic paradigm shift in our way of thinking about nature, and at the same time, it underpins most of the dramatic technological innovations of the modern era, as well as providing a profound lasting impact on our metaphysical conception of reality. This book provides oversight of many views on the interpretation of quantum physics and the wide philosophical debate that still embroils this subject. Following an introduction to quantum mechanics according to the Copenhagen interpretation and the many-worlds formalism, the reader is taken on a journey exploring the many physical results and theorems of quantum philosophy with an emphasis on quantum entanglement and Bell’s theorem before proceeding to explore Hawking radiation and the corresponding information loss problem and its unitary resolution and the connection between spacetime geometry and quantum entanglement. The book ...

 •
This book reconceptualizes the ancient philosophy of 'dualism' and a 'trinity' applied to classical and quantum nonequilibrium phenomena. In addition to classical mechanics and electrodynamics, a remarkable connection of this philosophy with quantum mechanics is established, which can be useful for quantum computing and the development of quantum artificial intelligence. Packed with the recent theoretical models, quantum simulations of black holes, and experimental observations of quantum phase transitions, this book brings a holistic approach that can be useful to refine the concept of the 'Creation', i.e., the evolution of the Universe from the condensed state of matter, and explain the artificial vision. The approch is:

Unique: Connects ancient philosophy, classical and quantum mechanics, materials, and the latest quantum technologies

Novelty: High level of scientific interpretation of ancient philosop...

It starts with the Biblical Story of the creation of Adam and Eve and their disobedience to God, the consequences of which we are still facing, prioritizing our needs over the evolutionary mission that we are granted from the Above.

The book "Light is Me. Light is My Philosophy!" concludes the Holistic System of Self-Resurrection that overviews the two cycles of books on Inspirational + Digital Phycology for Self-Ecology in their entirety - physical + emotional + mental + spiritual + universal realms of life in sync The book emphasizes an urgent necessity for Human Ecology to change ourselves first to safely use the unpredictable technology, the reliability of which is not stable, and the ethical issues around its use are not resolved. The goal of the book is to holistically change the inner fabric of our digitized liv...

 •
If there is a central conceptual framework that has reliably borne the weight of modern physics as it ascends into the twenty-first century, it is the framework of quantum mechanics. Because of its enduring stability in experimental application, physics has today reached heights that not only inspire wonder, but arguably exceed the limits of intuitive vision, if not intuitive comprehension. For many physicists and philosophers, however, the currently fashionable tendency toward exotic interpretation of the theoretical formalism is recognized not as a mark of ascent for the tower of physics, but rather an indicator of swayーone that must be dampened rather than encouraged if practical progress is to continue.

In this unique two-part volume, designed to be comprehensible to both specialists and non-specialists, the authors chart out a pathway forward by identifying the central deficiency in most interpretations of quantum mechanics: That in its conventional, metrical d...

 •
This book attempts to interpret the nature of reality as it is concurrently described by quantum physics, but its concern is that which cannot be described with physics or mathematics, it is about the first fraction of a second after the big bang when all physics and mathematics breaks down, a big bang that was not a onetime occurrence but is rather an ongoing activity, it is about the Planck length and Planck time where no measurements can be taken, no observations can be made and deductive reasoning and subconscious awareness is our only means of understanding. It is about the dual nature of reality described in Quantum Physics and interpreted by Theology. It attempts to define how the finite and infinite combine to complete the purpose of the Absolute Reality of the Singularity. It attempts to describe the nature of reality as a mosaic in which all the concepts fit together to form an Absolute Reality that has meaning and that has purpose, where God is not an abstract princi...

Including considerably broader connections to the contributions of Niels Bohr, Wolfgang Pauli, and Albert Einstein, this study also reflects Heelan’s experience in Eugene Wigner’s laboratory at Princeton along with his reflections on working with Erwin Schr?dinger dating from Heelan’s years at the Institute for Advanced Cosmology in Dublin.
A contribution to continental philosophy of science, the phenomenological and hermeneutic resources applied in this book to the physical and ontological paradoxes of quantum physics, especially in connection with laboratory science and m...

The author analyzes WHYphysicists like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking explain the universe using quantum theory. What is quantum theory? How do we perceive? How is causality flawed? How is reverse time possible? How does language processing happen? How do we understand? How does pattern recognition play a role in perception? What is reality? How does the arrow theory of time make assumptions that time flows in only one direction? How does reverse time travel happen in multidimensional spacetime? The latest explanations come from quantum physics. What is quantum physics? How did quantum physics evolve? How does quantum thinking affect our thoughts? The author bridges the disparity between quantum physics and religion by discussing snippets of logical reasoning offering insight into how both pursuits may coexist. •
This book is the final outcome of two projects. My first project was to publish a set of texts written by Schrodinger at the beginning of the 1950's for his seminars and lectures at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. These almost completely forgotten texts contained important insights into the interpretation of quantum mechanics, and they provided several ideas which were missing or elusively expressed in SchrOdinger's published papers and books of the same period. However, they were likely to be misinterpreted out of their context. The problem was that current scholarship could not help very much the reader of these writings to figure out their significance. The few available studies about SchrOdinger's interpretation of quantum mechanics are generally excellent, but almost entirely restricted to the initial period 1925-1927. Very little work has been done on Schrodinger's late views on the theory he contributed to create and develop. The generally accepted view is tha...

 •
This book provides a thorough and up-to-date introduction to the philosophy of quantum physics. Although quantum theory is renowned for its spectacular empirical successes, controversial discussion about how it should be understood continue to rage today. In this volume, the authors provide an overview of its numerous philosophical challenges: Do quantum objects violate the principle of causality? Are particles of the same type indistinguishable and therefore not individual entities? Do quantum objects retain their identity over time? How does a compound quantum system relate to its parts? These questions are answered here within different interpretational approaches to quantum theory. Finally, moving to Quantum Field Theory, we find that the problem of non-locality is exacerbated**.**

Philosophy of quantum physics is aimed at philosophers with an interest in physics, while also serving to familiarize physicists with many of the essential philosophicalquestions of th...

 •
This book discusses the philosophical work of D?cio Krause. Non-individuality, as a new metaphysical category, was thought to be strongly supported by quantum mechanics. No one did more to promote this idea than the Brazilian philosopher D?cio Krause, whose works on the metaphysics and logic of non-individuality are now widely regarded as part of the consolidated literature on the subject. This volume brings together chapters elaborating on the ideas put forward and defended by Krause, developing them in many different directions, commenting on aspects not completely developed so far, and, more importantly, critically addressing their current formulations and defenses by Krause himself. Given that Krause’s ideas do connect directly and indirectly with a wide array of subjects, such as the philosophy of quantum mechanics, more broadly understood, the philosophy of logic and logical philosophy, non-classical logics, metaphysics, and ontology, this volume contains important materia...

 •
In 1935, Erwin Schr?dinger, a brilliant Austrian physicist, proposed a thought experiment destined to become a cultural icon and a philosophical conundrum. At a time when quantum physics was beginning to shake the foundations of scientific thought, Schr?dinger imagined a cat locked in a box, trapped in a situation that was as absurd as it was enlightening: alive and dead at the same time, at least until an observer opened the lid of the box.

To those who do not master the details of quantum mechanics, the paradox may seem like an absurdity; but, , in fact, that is precisely its strength. Schr?dinger was not trying to define a new physical principle. Rather, he wanted to point out the strange consequences of a still young theory.

That cat, ideally placed at the boundary between two opposite states, has become much more than a conceptual experiment. It is a mirror reflecting the paradoxes of nature, perception and even our culture.

The paradox has...

Yet for all its success, quantum theory remains utterly baffling.

Quantum Reality: Theory and Philosophy, Second Edition cuts through much of the confusion to provide readers with an exploration of quantum theory that is as authoritatively comprehensive as it is intriguingly comprehensible. The book has been fully updated throughout to include the latest results in quantum entanglement, the theory and practical applications of quantum computing, quantum cosmology and quantum gravity. Needing little more than a school level physics and mathematics background, this volume requires only an interest in understanding how quantum theory ca...

 •
In this magisterial work, Roland Omn?s takes us from the academies of ancient Greece to the laboratories of modern science as he seeks to do no less than rebuild the foundations of the philosophy of knowledge. One of the world's leading quantum physicists, Omn?s reviews the history and recent development of mathematics, logic, and the physical sciences to show that current work in quantum theory offers new answers to questions that have puzzled philosophers for centuries: Is the world ultimately intelligible? Are all events caused? Do objects have definitive locations? Omn?s addresses these profound questions with vigorous arguments and clear, colorful writing, aiming not just to advance scholarship but to enlighten readers with no background in science or philosophy.

The book opens with an insightful and sweeping account of the main developments in science and the philosophy of knowledge from the pre-Socratic era to the nineteenth century. Omn?s then traces the emer...
